We are experiencing an issue with Windows 10 laptops that use offline files over wireless. The wireless connection shows 72Mbps and yes occasionally the latency goes up to 30ms when tranferring a file but offline files still gets stuck in Offline mode and you can’t get it back into Online. Connection to the server is just fine and you can browse network drives without any issues. I see others having this issue with Windows 10 and in Windows 7 you had a button to force it online, but that is gone in Windows Anyone else have a solution for this?
What if you right click the file and select Sync? Did the status bar in the bottom of the Explorer show offline? If you click it again, it will back to offline.

Also it will go offline and you can sync it because when you tell it to sync all it will go online real quick and then get kicked right back offline. When they are working from home on wifi over VPN their offline files state stays in Offline mode and under Windows 10 we cannot force it to go online like we did in Windows 7. Would really be great if there was some way to force it online.

I have read about the problem and I found that some people had faced the same in windows xp, vista or windows 7 machines but I found no complains about this problem on windows 10 I read about problem in synchronization, record problems and people accessing other people’s offline folders with no intention but could not find anything about the problem in windows 10 enterprise which I’m facing it.

There’s no error message regarding the offline folder further there’s no problem with the offline folder at all the problem is only in the online folders which are in the same folder as the offline folder or in above folders, these folders some times either disappear or become offline although I can still access others redirected folders in the same file server.
I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem but when it happens again I’ll send you the error message.
